Posh – Pošip
Variety: Pošip
Bottle Size: 0.75L
Color: White
Wine-Growing Subregion: Korčula, Dalmatia
Vineyard Location: Čara, Island of Korčula
Winemaking & Aging:
Posh is our premium Pošip, grown in the renowned Čara vineyards on the island of Korčula, one of the most traditional Pošip terroirs in Dalmatia. To preserve the freshness and fruit-forward character of this indigenous variety, the wine ferments and matures in large egg-shaped concrete tanks, which allow for gentle micro-oxygenation and natural stabilization. This unique vinification method enhances the purity of Pošip’s aromas and flavors, while maintaining its crisp structure and minerality.
After one year of maturation, the wine is carefully bottled and released, ready to deliver an authentic expression of Dalmatian terroir.
Tasting Notes:
Posh shines with bright golden hues, offering a captivating aromatic profile of ripe peach, citrus zest, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is vibrant and elegant, with a beautifully balanced minerality and acidity, leading to a distinctive almond-like aftertaste, characteristic of high-quality Pošip. The textured, creamy mouthfeel, influenced by extended lees contact in concrete tanks, enhances its depth and complexity.
Food Pairing:
With its refreshing yet structured profile, Posh is an ideal companion for white fish dishes, light risottos, seafood pastas, and delicate Mediterranean cuisine. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with fine dining, it offers an elegant and unforgettable tasting experience.
Serving Temperature: 10-12°C
Aging Potential: Enjoy immediately or cellar for up to 3-5 years, allowing its minerality and depth to evolve over time.
It is aged alone for a couple of months in concrete eggs and wood and has been available since the same year of the first aperture.
It comes from the vineyard of Saint Ante in Radovani, central Istria, which is rich in red soil and limestone and is extremely suitable for white varieties.
Gastro-recommendation with main dishes of white meat and noble fish, but due to the emphasized aroma, it also goes with risottos or asparagus.
Serving temperature 12°C.
