Produced from refoška from younger vineyards, Intense ruby red color, fruity scent on small dark and red forest fruits paired with spicy components, soft and rounded taste.
After maceration of about 20 days, the wine goes through a process of malolactic fermentation and then goes to aging for about a year in French oak barrels up to 225 liters. Accentuated fruit aromas such as cherries and blackberries, blueberries with dark chocolate and slightly peppery. In the mouth fruity and quite fresh, medium-bodied with still lively tannins. Elegant, quite long finish, in which, in addition to fruity notes, there is also a note of licorice and dark chocolate.
The recommended serving temperature is 14 – 16 ° C.
It goes well with dried meat, hard cheeses, but also with pasta dishes with red sauces.
It goes well with grilled meat, steak, Istrian prosciutto and game and other Istrian traditional delicacies.
