Rueben’s Private Reserve is a premium red wine. Dark blackberry in color, leading to a slightly ruby-colored rim. Chocolate covered dark Bing Cherries, dried currants, and stewed plums lift the wine’s aromatics while hints of forest floor, sage, and saddled leather float from its tertiary levels. This wine is full-bodied, complex, bold, and exceptionally structured. The earth driven purities of this wine lead to a rich, chocolate, dried fruit center. The palate is long and driven, structured with firm, silky tannins. This wine has excellent aging potential.
It will go well with grilled red meat, supplement all hard cheeses, and win the battle with any meat goulash. Decant for at least 30 minutes and serve at 14 – 16 °C.
Located on the beautiful peninsula of Pelješac, Korta Katarina was established by American couple Penny and Lee Anderson. Their love for Croatia and passion for wine led them to establish this exclusive winery, producing its first vintage in 2006.
