Nebo Single Malt Whiskey Flight #3 is an author’s interpretation of the classic single malt style, created with an emphasis on balance, aromatic complexity, and subtle smokiness. Although the name does not include the label “peated,” the recipe uses a small share of smoked malt (smoked, not peated) which does not dominate, but gently rounds out the overall aromatic profile.
The recipe is based on a combination of three types of two-row base malt, with the addition of smoked and specialized malts, creating a whiskey rich in character yet surprisingly elegant and approachable. This balance makes Flight #3 an ideal choice both for experienced single malt lovers and for those just entering the world of craft whiskey.
Unlike the Peated version, this whiskey does not use peat-smoked malt imported from Scotland, but rather beechwood-smoked malt, which gives a warmer, milder, and more refined smokiness characteristic of Central European tradition.
Most of the distillate matures for 48 months in large 190-litre American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, while a smaller portion matures in 30-litre Croatian oak barrels from the cooperage Golub. This combination allows depth and structure to develop without aggressive wood impact, highlighting the quality of the malt and the distillate’s own aromatics.
The result is a rich, warm, and complex whiskey with notes of malt, gentle smoke, vanilla, dried fruit, and a smooth, long-lasting finish.
