At 400 meters above sea level, in the vineyards of the San Salvatore position, they grow Malvazija for Benvenuti wine, which they have dubbed “the new era of Malvazija”.
Vineyards are planted on sandy soil and face south. Highly representative of its variety, this is the first Istrian Malvazija made from dried grapes. Very oily to the eye, this sweet wine is characterized by honey aromas and fruitiness. At the same time, its character is rounded by pronounced acidity, which provides for aging potential. The San Salvatore 2018 was aged in oak barrels for 18 months.
Recommended with different kinds of dried fruits, soft cheese with honey, desserts like cheesecake, and similar. Served on 12 – 14 °C.
Located in the peaceful Istrian village of Kaldir, Benvenuti vineyards are set on three different micro-locations. Every droplet of Benvenuti wine tells a story of honesty, family, and hard work.
