One of the key Croatian red varieties, and the most important Istrian red variety, Teran holds a special place in Benvenuti wine history. This wine comes from the vineyards in Španjole, at 300 meters above the sea. Fresh and complex at once, Teran has a harmonious structure and acidity that provides for lots of aging potential. Anno Domini was aged in oak for 24 months, following a 20 days maceration.
Due to its characteristics, Teran Anno Domini is an ideal wine partner for dried meat products, cheese, and dishes based on meat and venison, as well as fish prepared with spicy sauces. Its characteristics are best pronounced if it is consumed at a temperature of about 16 °C.
Located in the peaceful Istrian village of Kaldir, Benvenuti vineyards are set on three different micro-locations. Every droplet of Benvenuti wine tells a story of honesty, family, and hard work.
