Classic Burgundian chardonnay aged on fine lees.
The berries were macerated for two weeks, and the wine was matured in a combination of new and used American and French oak barrels.
It has all the colors of a fine white wine: yellow turns into gold, and has retained a greenish glow.
It smells like a basket of fruit in which there are exotic, typical for the variety, but ripe lemon, apple and pear, quince and yellow plum dominate.
It has a sumptuous taste, playful, with fine acids and minerality.
It goes perfectly with homemade chicken roasted in lard, in which the mince will be “bathed” afterwards, with steamed yellow green beans as a side dish.
Also with turkey, if butter is placed under its skin, and pickled beetroot “fixes” the color on the plate.
Which degree is colder, it will also nicely accompany the sugar-free apple pie, but with nice vanilla ice cream.
This chardonnay will also be enjoyed by those who dare to throw chicken drumsticks and chicken drumsticks on the fat in which they fried the garlic cloves, then cover everything with cream, season with sweet and hot red pepper and serve with gnocchi.
Good “servants” to this master are also large Adriatic crabs, it can be grancigula, as well as larger sea bream or two-kilogram trout, which can be bought in a fish farm not far from Krašić.
All serious wines go well with simple dishes such as potato stew with pork stewed on leeks.
