Frenchie is a Sauvignon Blanc blended with Semillon, which comes from the Saint Ante vineyard near Višnjan. Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc are a typical Bordeaux combination. Frenchie is the first typical white Bordeaux blend on the Croatian wine scene. Frenchie is a rich, creamy, and very fresh wine, with strong acidity, a full middle palate, a light bitterness on the aftertaste, and a very long duration. Shades of grapefruit, passion fruit, gooseberry, young pea, and freshly cut grass can be felt on the nose: the taste also varies between citrus and plant elements. The full-body, combined with strong acidity, and with Semillon’s natural tendency to age long and well, gives Frenchie much more room to mature than almost all Croatian Sauvignons. 

It goes well with tuna or hamachi sashimi, tuna sushi, octopus or mackerel, fried sardines, squid, roasted white fish, top-quality chicken, veal cutlets.
